"agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land"June 10, 2023 – January 7, 2024A collaborative, contemporary art exhibit created by the Longmont Museum and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, "agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land," pairs more than 15 local and national artists with farmers throughout Boulder County to create new visual works.The exhibit draws on the expertise of farmers and the inspiration of nature and invites visitors to examine their own connections to the land and natural world. This multi-venue exhibition features art at both museums, plus three local farms: Ollin Farms in Longmont, Milk and Honey Farm at the Boulder JCC and the Agricultural Heritage Center in Longmont.Visitors will see artwork ranging from sculpture, fiber arts, cyanotypes and photo weavings to ceramics, paintings and digital media. The exhibition presents an innovative way to address topical issues by integrating the perspectives and expertise of both artists and farmers.
