High Score Saloon Announces Opening Date for New Location

It's been a wild few weeks for the owners of High Score Saloon and their new location on the Main Street Walkway in downtown Evansville. But, after a couple of ups and downs, the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is much brighter.

Back in October 2021, the owners of the popular adult arcade and bar announced they would be moving out of the basement of the building at 323 Main Street, where they had been located since opening the doors in 2017, to the building literally steps away at 309 Main Street. After renovating the interior of the new location to fit their needs, they eyed a late-May opening date. However, roughly a week before that day came, and despite multiple paperwork reviews to make sure everything was in order, a final inspection revealed the building would need " a complete fire alarm and monitoring system" installed. A process that would take eight to ten weeks to complete.

The bar's owners announced the setback in a post on Facebook on May 17th. Exactly one week later (May 24th), they posted a new update saying another Evansville business, Business Communications Services, LLC, reached out to them and offered to do the alarm and monitoring installation because they appreciated what the owners did for the community, had the equipment on hand that was needed to get the job done.

That brings us to earlier this week, Monday, June 5th, to be exact. The owners posted a new announcement saying the alarm and monitoring system has been installed and they were ready to announce an official opening date. Well, two actually.

The new location will host a "soft opening" on the nights of Wednesday, June 7th, and Thursday, June 8th from 5:00 PM until Midnight both nights. Both nights are open to patrons who pre-ordered a shirt or hat from the business which you must wear in order to be admitted inside.

If you didn't order a shirt or hat, the good news is, you won't have to wait long to get inside and see the new place. The owners say it will be officially open to the public on Friday, June 9th from 5:00 PM until 1:00 AM.

Following Friday's public grand opening, the bar will be open during the business hours below. Which are the same hours they operated at their original location.
